Third quarter of the Nineteenth Century, of French origin, after an early Eighteenth-Century model. 

Wearing a tricorn hat, frock coat and breeches. He stands with one leg raised on a tree trunk, as he ties his skates beside the ice. He looks up, smiling with one skate at his foot.  

Condition: Good condition with nice patination, few old tiny losses to marble base edge, no evidence of a foundry mark.
