An Exceptionally Fine Quality Pair of French Louis XVI Ormolu-Mounted High Glazed Turquoise Porcelain Twin Arm Candelabra of generous proportions and good heavy gauge.
The Porcelain Kangxi (1662-1722). The Mounts Circa 1780.
Each modelled as a Buddhist seated Lion seated on a very unusual two tier base with four Ram’s heads and claw feet, supported on toupie ormolu feet, flanked by a pillar below a stunning twin arm Candelabra with a central ornately cast finial and reeded candleholders. The finely chased sconces issuing from twin scrolling arms complete with their original firm fitting drip pans.
Condition: Superb condition these pieces have been professionally re-gold plated, no losses to porcelain. Back and front views are similar.
