498. Rare Rosewood Sword Stick Cane French Porcelain Pommel 19th Century

Superb Rare Polished Well Figured Rosewood Sword Stick of outstanding quality, enclosing its original fullered steel blade, late Nineteenth Century, possibly of French origin.  

The hand painted porcelain pommel of generous size depicting a young lady within a richly gilt surround on cobalt blue ground, above a plain gold plated collar on a tapering rosewood shaft with original bi-metal unusually long ferrule.  

Condition: Good condition with nice patination, the sword mechanism in very good firm condition which locks firmly. Light wear to gilding on collar.
