A Stylish Example of an Early Victorian Country House Style Identical Pair of Heavy Duty Polished Brass Fire Dogs, Chenets or Andirons of unusually generous proportions. Mid Nineteenth Century, possibly earlier of English or French origin. 

Each upright modelled with a single surmounted circular motif, above three slender “C” scrolled supports ending on ball and claw feet.   

Condition: Exceptional condition for such early pieces, possibly never used, no losses anywhere, professionally re-polished.
