A Stunning French heavy gauge Ormolu Standing or wall hanging Photo Frame of medium proportions and outstanding quality, mid to late Nineteenth Century. 

The arched top ormolu embossed frame enclosing a plain portrait shape photo framed inset surrounded with finely cast applied decorations depicting a central oval medallion flanked by floral swags and scrolling motifs.  

Condition: Professionally re-gold plated, the old silk fabric has been replaced and the entire back areas re-lined. The frame is entirely glazed at front.
