A Very Fine Pair of French Late Empire Patinated Bronze & Well Grained Sienna Marble Grand Tour Twin Handle Tazza of large and heavy proportions
First quarter of the Nineteenth Century, possibly Regency period.
Each circular bowl with Acanthus Leaf cast body and decorative moulded beaded detail rims and twin bronze handles modelled as resting dolphins an ornate scrolling support, ending on a central socle base above a square marble central support with plinth base, with a band of acanthus leaf bronze mount.
Condition: These pieces have been professionally cleaned, original patinated bronze with no wear at high points, very good condition, each base with added fabric protective pads, see image.
