An Exceptionally Fine Quality French Ormolu Mounted & Framed Sevres Soft Paste Porcelain Wall Hanging Twin Arm Sconce of Oval form and of good size proportions, mid Nineteenth Century. 

The well cast oval frame above twin outswept candle arms, centered with a porcelain oval which depicts a romantic couple in Eighteenth Century dress within a landscape and a lake, within a gilt border on traditional Celeste blue ground. 

Condition: Good allover condition with no losses, slight wear to gilt decoration on porcelain. The Ormolu frame has been professionally re-gold plated.
