Superb Irish Dublin Silver Heavy Gauge William IV Circular Silver Bachelors Teapot.
The circular button finial with beaded edge on domed embossed hinged cover, the entire main body decorated with continuous bands of embossed foliage and flower heads, the lower body with opposing cartouches, crested to one side and initials to the other, raised on four delicate scroll supports.
Makers mark: GA for George Alcock. Dublin Maker located during the mid Nineteenth Century at Great Strand Street, Dublin City.
Dublin assay marks to the underside also with Retailers mark “NEVILLE & SON”
Condition: Good condition with no imperfections.
Height: (entire) 0.0” (00cm). Width: (entire) 7.25” (18.5cm).
Weight: including handle (an impressive) 12.8ozs. (365 grams).
