Superb Example of an English Tunbridge Ware Double Tea Caddy in figured Rosewood of early form. The hinged lid with a central reserve of parquetry inlay depicting the tumbling block pattern using several woods including Satinwood Walnut and Palmwood surrounded by a tessellated floral border, the front with similar repeated decoration. Early Nineteenth Century.

Condition: Good overall with no losses to inlay except for tiny piece where key is inserted. Lacking interior lids, complete with original working lock and later key.
