637. Superb Example of Rare Moore Porcelain Clock late 19th Century


A Very Unusual and possibly quite rare English Moore Porcelain Mantle Timepiece of impressive proportions. The circular 7.5cm. dial of ormolu with Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the circular porcelain case moulded with flowering cacti supported by twin winged Cherubs, on a shaped scroll moulded acanthus base. Last quarter of the Nineteenth Century.Old English

Retailers marking to dial "Goldsmiths Company 112 Regent Street London" Moores Brothers printed puce mark at base. Condition: In overall very good condition with no imperfections except for one cherub is lacking wing, the other lacking a big toe, some light staining at back no evidence of any restoration,This Clock has been recently serviced and is in perfect working order complete with original key.
