840. Sold. Fine Early Vicrorian Rare Rosewood Roll Top Writing Desk


An Exceptionally Fine Quality Well Figured Rosewood Roll Top Ladies or Gentleman's Early Victorian Writing Desk of mediun proportions.

The flame figured twin doors flanked by two deep carved corbels enclosing a movable single shelf ending on a platform base.

The sliding roll top enclosing eight pigeonholes and four birds eye maple drawers each with original turned pulls.

The sliding writing area with adjustable writing slope, original tooled leather.

 

Condition: Superb condition, this piece has been professionally restored, all handles are original. The sectional leather areas are original with no losses, some old ink stains visible.
