This Exquisitely Carved Hardwood Netsuke of large size depicts a Traveling Japanese Sennin or Buddha, wearing a belted Kimono and an Oriental Mat strapped to his back, suspended from a Carp Fish. Meiji Period (1868-1912).
The main body which shows a second Carp resting on the shoulder, opens to reveal a pill or medicine box.
Condition: This piece is in excellent condition, no losses and no restoration. This piece is unmarked.
