An Exceptional Ormolu and Porcelain Striking Mantel Clock, French early 19th Century, modelled as a pair of putti driving a chariot drawn by two garlanded goats.
The wheel dial centred by a blue ground porcelain plaque with white enamel Roman chapters, the centre with enamel label inscribed A. Ambrosoni, Paris, the blue ground porcelain base with a frieze of putti playing games and musical instruments, within a gilt band of oak leaves and acorns, on pierced feet cast in the form of entwined vines (also signed on the back plate of the movement).
Condition: Recently serviced, perfect working order and complete.
