Note: Edward King Redmore was born circa 1859 in Hull, England, the son of noted British marine painter Henry Redmore (1820-1887) who exhibited at the Royal Academy. Edward took up his famous father's profession and apparently spent his entire life into the early 20th century painting marine scenes in and around Hull.
According to Arthur G. Credland in "Marine Painting In Hull Through Three Centuries," Hull City Museum, Hutton Press, "E.K. Redmore followed in Henry's footsteps as a marine artist and a number of early works were painted with considerable skill in a manner very close to that of his father.
