George Crisp 1870-1911: Some of Crisp's better oils compare favourably with those of the Clare family however it is not known if they knew each other. Indeed, Crisp is quite an enigma in that little is known of this English gentleman artist from Cambridge other than his dates which differ from artist directory to directory. We have used the active dates for which his sales are best known which is active between 1870-1911. Others give his date of birth as 1865, whilst some give his active dates starting at 1875.
This is a very fine framed Painting offered in very good ready to hang condition.
