Fine Pair of Hand Painted Circular German Cabinet Plates by Franz Junkersdorf who was a maker for Dresden (1903-1941) made during the early Twentieth Century.
Each Plate depicts a central vignette of a group of Classical Maidens and a seated Cherub in a Chariot, both within an exquisite gilt and cobalt blue outer shaped surround with stylized flowers and scrolls.
Condition: Good condition, except for some very light wear to gilding at rims. Small paint loss at edge of one painting, not noticable see image. Base marks on both Junkersdorf shield and “DRESDEN” backstamp. (Ref: Directory of European Porcelain by Ludwig Danckert).
